5 Tips for a Happier Holiday Season

Motivational Calendar 2016

The holidays can be a fun time, filled with love and enjoyment; and they can also be stressful and full of conflict. Many people find that the quality of their holiday season is at the mercy of others – family members, bosses, work colleagues, the retail industry, and many more. The great news is that this does not need to be the case. You have a lot more control over how much you enjoy this time of year than you may realise! πŸ˜‰

These few tips will help you to increase the fun, love and joy in your world throughout this season, regardless of what those around you are doing!

1. Start every day with something that makes you laugh out loud. Even when you don’t feel like it. In fact, especially when you don’t feel like it! Laughing out loud causes the brain and major organs to produce “feel good chemicals”. This will help you to get off to a great start regardless of the challenges you may come across during the day. And the effects of this habit are accumulative – the longer you do it, the more effective the results. Start now, every day for 7 days, and see what happens! πŸ˜‰

2. Practice the Superpower Exercise to keep yourself in a state of compassion – this will have a knock-on effect on how you respond to stress, how you communicate with others,Β the decisions you make, how creative you are, and all other areas of your life.

3. When you are facing challenges, take a moment to gain your perspective. Remind yourself that only you can create and attract in your life, and remember The Magic Pill – you cannot create or attract anything bad in your life; so, no matter how bad something may appear, it HAS to turn out to be either good, or at the very least, nothing to worry about.

4. Choose to be happy. Choose to smile. Remember, every moment of human consciousness is a choice – even if it’s just a choice of focus. Have a happy moment handy (like hugging your pet or holding a baby, or sitting on the beach with cocktails, or enjoying a garden…) that you can choose to recall at will. When you put your focus on something, your body will respond by producing the matching chemicals… which will change your emotional state. It is all a choice – and it’s worth reminding yourself of that. πŸ˜‰

5. When you find it difficult to feel good, or to move past something, or to change your focus, use the Faster EFT technique to let go of the patterns and beliefs that are holding you in place; this will allow you to let the unconditional love and compassion in.

Make this your best December yet! It’s your choice. You’re the boss of you! πŸ˜‰ :)
